Guys Who Read

Guys Who Read is a book club for men on the San Francisco Midpeninsula, though everyone is welcome here (any gender or gender identity, background, and beliefs). However much or little you read, there's a place for you.

We read a mix of fiction (science fiction, historical fiction, the occasional fantasy) and nonfiction (narrative history, biography, memoir, books about how to live). If a book is well-regarded and worth talking through together, it's a candidate. Members put titles forward and we vote on what's next.

Some of us are picking reading back up after years away. Others are starting for the first time, or just want somewhere to talk about what they're already reading.

Cost or format should not keep anyone from joining the conversation. Large-print books, ebooks, and audiobooks all count as reading. If getting the book is a barrier, tell an organizer and we will do what we can.
