BOOKCLUBS GIVEAWAY TERMS & CONDITIONS

(Applies to all giveaways hosted on Bookclubs.com unless otherwise stated on the individual giveaway page)

• 1. No Purchase Necessary

  No purchase necessary to enter or win.

• 2. Eligibility

  Unless otherwise stated on the giveaway page, giveaways are open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older and the legal age of majority in their jurisdiction at the time of entry. If a giveaway is open to Canada, it is open only to legal residents of Canada excluding Quebec. Void where prohibited by law.

• 3. Bookclubs Account Required

  All entrants must have a registered Bookclubs.com account and must enter using the email associated with that account. By entering, the featured book will automatically be added to the entrant’s “Want to Read” shelf.

• 4. Entry Period and How to Enter

  Each giveaway will list its own start and end dates, prize details, number of winners, and eligible regions on the giveaway page. Only entries received during the listed entry period are valid. Limit one (1) entry per person per giveaway unless otherwise stated.

• 5. Bonus Entries for Bookworms Members

  Members enrolled in Bookclubs’ Bookworms program will automatically receive one (1) additional bonus entry per giveaway.

• 6. Winner Selection and Notification

  Winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Winners will be notified by email within ten (10) business days after the giveaway ends. If a winner does not respond within seven (7) days, an alternate winner may be selected.

• 7. Prize Fulfillment and Shipping

  All prize fulfillment, including printing, shipment, and delivery, is the sole responsibility of the prize sponsor listed on the giveaway page. Bookclubs does not ship prizes and is not responsible for lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, or undelivered prizes. Delivery timelines are not guaranteed.

• 8. Club Prizes vs. Individual Prizes

  Giveaways may award prizes either to an individual entrant or to a book club. If a prize is designated as a club prize (for example, multiple copies of a book for club distribution), the full prize will be shipped to one winner at a single mailing address for their club. If a prize is designated as an individual prize, it will be shipped only to the individual winner listed on the entry.

• 9. Prize Condition and Warranty

  All prizes are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. No substitution, transfer, or cash redemption of prizes is permitted unless stated by the sponsor.

• 10. Taxes, Duties, and Fees

  Sponsors are responsible for covering the cost of shipping prizes. Winners may be responsible for any applicable taxes, duties, customs fees, or reporting obligations required by law in their jurisdiction.

• 11. Marketing and Communications Consent

  By entering, you agree to receive marketing and prize-fulfillment communications from both Bookclubs and the prize sponsor. You may unsubscribe at any time through your Bookclubs account settings or via the sponsor’s unsubscribe process.

• 12. Publicity and Winner List Disclosure

  Except where prohibited, entrants consent to the use of their first name, last initial, and state (or province, if applicable) for winner confirmation purposes. A list of winners may be requested by emailing help@bookclubs.com within 30 days of winner selection.

• 13. Disqualification

  Bookclubs reserves the right to disqualify entries that are incomplete, fraudulent, automated, generated by bots, or otherwise violate these Terms.

• 14. General Release and Limitation of Liability

  By entering, you agree that Bookclubs, its employees, and affiliates are not liable for any claims, loss, or damage arising out of or relating to participation in the giveaway or use of the prize, including but not limited to technical failures, sponsor-related issues, or shipping errors.

• 15. Governing Law

  These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from or relating to a giveaway shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Maine.

• 16. Modification or Cancellation

  Bookclubs reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel any giveaway at any time if fraud, technical issues, sponsor withdrawal, or other circumstances impair the integrity of the promotion.

• 17. Privacy and Site Terms

  Personal information collected in connection with a giveaway will be used in accordance with the Bookclubs Privacy Policy and the Bookclubs Website Terms of Use. By entering, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as outlined in these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Terms of Use, including sharing your information with the prize sponsor for fulfillment and marketing purposes.
