Historical Fiction Book Clubs

Members are all neighbors on Braemar Crescent Way and Gretna Green Drive.

A local book club meeting once a month for sips, snacks, and dishing about our current read. We switch it up between mysteries, suspense and contemporary fiction 📖

We are a very casual group. We get together on the Third Wednesday of each month at my home to drink, eat apps and talk about fun reads!

Book loving strangers meet monthly - usually a Thursday. Hybrid of in person in Pickering/Ajax and Zoom in the darker months. Welcome!

In 2020, the museum launched a book club for community members. Each book club meeting includes a casual discussion with museum staff about a work of historical nonfiction or fiction.

This is a no-stress, no-judgment book club that meets the third Tuesday of every month(ish) at Rushford & Sons Brewhouse. Book choices are voted on monthly according to book club chosen themes. Books are available at a discount through Hygge House Books, but you do not need to purchase through us to be a part of the book club. You don't even need to read the book! Just show up ready to have an open-minded chat, partake in a bevvy or two, and hang with some cool people.

We read cultural classics and contemporary literature with a focus on books that tell the story of the African, African American, and Indigenous (Native) experience. Nothing is off-limits.
