We'll Always Have Summer (The Summer I Turned Pretty)

Now a blockbuster original series on Prime Video! Will Belly choose Jeremiah or Conrad?
Can Belly make a final choice between Jeremiah and Conrad? Find out in the conclusion of the New York Times bestselling The Summer I Turned Pretty trilogy from the author of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before (now a major motion picture!).
Belly has only ever been in love with two boys, both with the last name Fisher. And after being with Jeremiah for the last two years, she’s almost positive he is her soul mate. Almost. While Conrad has not gotten over the mistake of letting Belly go, Jeremiah has always known that Belly is the girl for him. So when Belly and Jeremiah decide to make things forever, Conrad realizes that it’s now or never—tell Belly he loves her, or lose her for good.
Belly will have to confront her feelings for Jeremiah and Conrad and face the inevitable: She will have to break one of their hearts.
This paperback edition features bonus content, including Conrad’s letters to Belly and an excerpt of Burn for Burn by Jenny Han and Siobhan Vivian!

Not going to lie, this one is not my favorite. I found it fairly annoying for the majority of the time. I read it quickly and not only because it was a quick read but because it was predictable. I’m not normally one to harp on predictability because most of the time I don’t mind it but in this case it was obvious that what was supposed to happen wasn’t what was going on and it was just childish stupidity.
I was so stressed out when I first opened this book. I screamed, yelled, and almost lost hope but everything revealed at the end! Wish we could get an epilogue of how they’re doing now. But overall, this trilogy could’ve of been shorter if they all had better communication skills.
Let me preface this review by saying, I had no intention of reading these books ever. Teenager love stories was not a genre I’m interested in. But a few weeks ago I started watching the TV show (currently caught up on all episodes out) because my teenager begged me to. Then she said she was interested in reading the books, and she is never interested in reading so I jumped at the opportunity to get them for her. The books came and she showed little interest in reading them but was still obsessed with the show. So I picked up The Summer I Turned Pretty and started reading it. Yesterday I finished We’ll Always Have Summer.
I already had it in my head that Belly and Conrad were meant to be, thanks to the tv show, so Jeremiah never stood a chance with me for the duration of the book series.
I was rooting for Belly every step of the way during her wedding standoff with Laurel, but as a mom of teenagers and young 20-something’s, I agreed with Laurel 100%.
I felt sadness for Jeremiah for feeling like he always came second to Conrad and for losing his first love and best friend.
I was p.o’d at Conrad for not admitting his feelings for Belly over and over and breaking her heart just as much.
But in the end, Conrad was the only correct choice. It was always Conrad for Belly. And I believe in my heart that she absolutely loved Jeremiah. They were best friends. But she was never in love with Jeremiah.
I loved every Conklin and every Fisher. So as it turns out, if the story is as good as this, teenager love stories is a genre I’m interested in.
As for my teenager, I think she got a little envious that I knew things about Conrad that she didn’t. So she picked up The Summer I Turned Pretty and as of today just finished It’s Not Summer Without You. Tomorrow she’ll start We’ll Always Have Summer and I will feel accomplished that I got my daughter to read not 1, but 3 books this summer. Haha.
this book annoyed me so bad. Belly ARE U FKING DUMB?? AND WHY SHE HOPPING BROTHERS EVERY DAMN BOOK? LIKE GIRL? SO MESSY. and JEREMIAH WYD????????? LIKE AND THE FACT THAT THESE DUMBASSES ARE GETTING MARRIED AT 18 AND 19 WITH NO MONEY AND NO FULL TIME JOBS AND JUST STRAIGHT UP MAKING THEIR PARENTS PAY FOR IT WITHOUT CONSULTING WITH THEM ….. just for them to drop that shit. and then conrad over here is so fking messy too cause why u telling her all that RIGHT BEFORE HER WEDDING??? like the goats in this book would be Taylor because she was a great friend in this book surprisingly, Laurel, and probably Ernie cause he funny asf.
I teared at one point… what love does.
