It's Not Summer Without You

Now a blockbuster original series on Prime Video! Will Belly choose Jeremiah or Conrad?

Belly finds out what comes after falling in love in this follow-up to The Summer I Turned Pretty from the New York Times bestselling author of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before (now a major motion picture!), Jenny Han.

It used to be that Belly counted the days until summer, until she was back at Cousins Beach with Conrad and Jeremiah. But not this year. Not after Susannah got sick again and Conrad stopped caring. Everything that was right and good has fallen apart, leaving Belly wishing summer would never come. But when Jeremiah calls saying Conrad has disappeared, Belly knows what she must do to make things right again. And it can only happen back at the beach house, the three of them together, the way things used to be. If this summer really and truly is the last summer, it should end the way it started—at Cousins Beach.

This was a nice follow-up to how the first book ended but there was so much happening. Firstly, I cried way more in this one because all things Susannah just got me going. It was really sad to see how much all of the kids’ lives changed when she passed and seeing the interaction between Conrad, Jeremiah and Belly had me hooked the whole time. Can’t wait to see how everything wraps up in the third book!

The back and forth between Jeremiah and Conrad is intoxicating! I love it so much! I also love the meaning behind the infinity necklace that Conrad got for Belly.

The second installment in this series is more heavyhearted but it's also much more well-written than the first book. Despite the heavy tone, I sped through this one. I'm still not sure how I feel about this triangle. I want to hate it but I can't look away. Han is such a compelling writer, she makes a turbulent and dysfunctional situation captivating. It's a quick read, and once again, I immediately started the next book when I finished this one. I'm still not sure how I want this series to end, but I'm invested!

Belly is so immature to me. If she was a real person, I’ll choke her out

I saw many coping methods for grief in this book. I felt like Belly was relatable in the last book, whereas in this book I felt more annoyed at her, specifically at how she treated people like Taylor and the Summer boys. Laurel at times seemed to be absent as a mother, but she rly pulled through in the end. And screw Jeremiah and Conrad's dad.... :( .
