It Starts with Us: A Novel (It Ends with Us)
Before It Ends with Us, it started with Atlas. Colleen Hoover tells fan favorite Atlas’s side of the story and shares what comes next in this long-anticipated sequel to the “glorious and touching” (USA TODAY) #1 New York Times bestseller It Ends with Us.
Lily and her ex-husband, Ryle, have just settled into a civil coparenting rhythm when she suddenly bumps into her first love, Atlas, again. After nearly two years separated, she is elated that for once, time is on their side, and she immediately says yes when Atlas asks her on a date.
But her excitement is quickly hampered by the knowledge that, though they are no longer married, Ryle is still very much a part of her life—and Atlas Corrigan is the one man he will hate being in his ex-wife and daughter’s life.

I am glad she changed her mind and gave a more final conclusion befitting to all the characters. All the old characters, Allysa, her husband Marshall, and Lucy from the first book are back. Then there are a few new characters are introduced.
What I enjoyed most about this novel is that Ms. Hoover opens the curtain to Atlas' life before he connects with his restaurant. It is how he survived and what it took him to get to where he is. How, if by all accounts, society was stacked against him, he somehow turned into a compassionate and responsible man.
This novel isn't solely about Lily. It is told by two narrators, Lily and Atlas. It compliments each other and makes it more fulfilling.
TRIGGER: Mental and Physical Abuse
If you were in an abusive relationship and finally got out. Write down a list of why you are no longer together. It's a good reminder whenever you need the strength to continue to stay away.
This book is the happily ever after of ATLAS and LILY. I liked that this book had dual pov, we all know how much we wanted to read atlas's pov in IEWU. I've always loved Atlas and Lily as a couple and I liked their ship in this book also. However, I donât think this book was necessary. I felt like IEWU had emotions, memories, letters and all that made us remember the book but this book felt like a long closure to the first book rather than a sequel.
I don't think I need to recommend this book to anyone cause every coho fan would already have read it, but to everyone else I would recommend them to read IEWU and then if you want to read Atlas and Lily's story you must enjoy ISWU.
I'd like to thank Harper Collins and After-schooltales for sending me a review of the book. I wrote this review willingly.
Like we already knew Lily and Atlas were gonna be together at the end of "it ends with us" so what was the need to carry on the story about that, and add some random things to it.
Don't see the point of the book.
