This is a good book about a mother who is determined to get her daughter back. This book is about learning how to forgive and move in the hardest of times.
I cannot say how much I loved this book enough. It was absolutely INCREDIBLE! It was so well written I felt every emotion that was portrayed it even had me crying! I fell in love with the characters and was rooting for the happy ending the moment I started reading. If finishing in about 4 days proves anything- I could barely put this one down!
great read

Colleen Hoover's books can be a hit or miss for me. I'm always bummed about that because I see how much my fellow romance readers love her. I've read six of Hoover's books now, but I also have six more waiting on my shelves. While I was not a fan of November 9, I thought Confess was unputdownable. Reminders of Him falls somewhere in between those two for me.
It always takes me a few chapters to get reacquainted with Hoover's writing style. She's detailed oriented and blunt, which isn't a bad thing but leaves me with a feeling of disconnect sometimes. While I'm entertained and intrigued, I don't always connect with the characters emotionally. But often what bothers me the most is what other readers like so much about her books: the drama. For me, sometimes it's over the top.
In Reminders of Him I actually liked our two leads, Kenna and Ledger. I connected with them, I empathized with both of them, and I rooted for them. What I didn't like were some of the plot points. I can't get into them because of spoilers, but for me they were weak. I was expecting some kind of twist or surprise and never got one. And the ending felt very rushed. I thought it wrapped up too smoothly, and wasn't believable after so much turmoil.
BUT I was absolutely entertained and read it quickly. However, there were no tears for me. (Which isn't too odd since I'm not always an emotional reader.) But I do feel like it's one I'll forget about within weeks. Which is fine, since I was reading purely for enjoyment.
