Sirene’s Reading Room

Sirene's Reading Room is a club for those who value community and the art of storytelling. The Authors we read include bell hooks, James Baldwin, Paulo Coehlo, Coleen Hoover, and beyond. Yes, we read and discuss books, but a significant value of Sirene's Reading Room is community building. Nothing that we do that is worthwhile is done alone, as said by Mariame Kaba. In this space, we get to know one another, share stories (with as much or as little context as our members like to share), and pair our meetings with activities such as painting, dinners, games, etc. If you're looking for a club to read books and discuss them, you'll find that here. However, if you're looking to read books, share your experiences, and gain new perspectives through discussions and the lived experiences of others, as well as exposure to different cultures and ways of thinking and living, you'll definitely find that here.
