Moonlit Sprites And Frights

This is a monthly book club that will be held on discord primarily on the last Sunday of the month at 7pm EST unless there are extenuating circumstances that cause the meeting to move or cancel. The meetings are intended to be about an hour long. I'll post the link to the server a little under a week from the meetings for new members.

The focus is going to be stand alone novels of the fantasy, horror, speculative fiction and magical realism genres. The focus of these are not intended to be romance based, though it will not rule out any books if it is in them. LGBTQ+ and various relationship dynamics will be present in some of the books. There may be exceptions to these genres with a sci fi or others every once in a while. If a duology or series gets picked it might turn into a separate individual meeting in the future, but these should be few and far between.

I plan to post a poll the week before the start of each month with a fantasy and a horror novel so people can vote for which sounds more appealing to them for the next months meeting.

Main guidelines are just to be respectful to others and keep an open mind. If you are rude or insulting to other members you will be kicked. If a book is not your cup of tea, skip that month and we hope to see you next time if it aligns more with what you like. The point of book club is to try new books and have fun!
