This was a beautifully written story but it absolutely destroyed me. I’m a mom of a 6 year old son. The characters of this story being the same age as my own child added a level of heartbreak I didn’t know existed. Rebecca Yarros will forever be one of my favorite writers but be warned that this book requires tissues.

This is the first time Ive ever commented on a book. But this book was soo emotional I feel like I have to comment. I had to take a few mental health days before I finished the last few chapters, but up toward the end I couldnt put it down. A total tear jerker, but I also laughed and fell in love with the characters. My only spoiler: I wouldnt recommend this for new mothers.

Love story starts with a soldier Chaos overseas sending letters to his battle buddy's sister Ella. Letter after Letter, the relationship starts yo grow between them. When Ryan, Ella's brother is KIA, Chaos goes to see Ella. The love story seems to drag on longer than I thought it should. Lots of ups and downs in the story.

I am broken after reading this. Wow. It was well written; made me cry, laugh, and blush. I wanted the ending to give a little more, but the epilogue wrapped up the story, just not as well as the rest of the book had done with character development and story lines.
