Readers say *The Last Letter* by Rebecca Yarros is a powerful, emotional romance that evokes laughter, tears, and deep connection. Many praise Yarros’...
This was a beautifully written story but it absolutely destroyed me. I’m a mom of a 6 year old son. The characters of this story being the same age as my own child added a level of heartbreak I didn’t know existed. Rebecca Yarros will forever be one of my favorite writers but be warned that this book requires tissues.
This is one of the most painful books I’ve ever read and I think it shouldn’t be allowed to hurt anyone else.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5-Star Review
The Last Letter by Rebecca Yarros
The Last Letter absolutely wrecked me in the most beautiful way.
This story is raw, tender, heartbreaking, and healing all at once. Rebecca Yarros doesn’t just tell a love story; she tells a story about grief, friendship, sacrifice, family, and the kind of love that shows up when life feels unbearable. The emotional depth in this book is unmatched. I found myself crying, smiling, and holding my breath through so many moments.
Beckett and Ella’s journey is unforgettable. Their connection is built through pain, honesty, and the slow rebuilding of trust after unimaginable loss. The way Yarros captures military brotherhood, single motherhood, and the reality of grief felt incredibly real and respectful. Nothing felt rushed or artificial because every emotion hit deeply and intentionally.
What stood out most to me was how this book reminds you that even in the darkest seasons, love still finds a way to grow. It’s a story of resilience and hope wrapped in heartbreak.
I didn’t just read this book…I felt it. 😭
If you want a story that will stay with you long after you turn the last page, The Last Letter is it. This is not just a romance; it’s an emotional experience you’ll never forget.
Would have been five stars, but f*ck that ending.
This is the first time Ive ever commented on a book. But this book was soo emotional I feel like I have to comment. I had to take a few mental health days before I finished the last few chapters, but up toward the end I couldnt put it down. A total tear jerker, but I also laughed and fell in love with the characters. My only spoiler: I wouldnt recommend this for new mothers.
