I loved all the visits to the different isles, the battles, and the spiceâ¦but I did feel like I was missing info on quite a few characters/dragons named. I would have liked for them to be fleshed out a little more.
Thank the gods for that 1% of Teddy Hamilton.

I am still catching my breath. Rebecca Yarros how dare you break us so beautifully and royally. The smallest book of the series and yet had the biggest impact. I am not going to spoil anything in this review but I will say be prepared. Violet and the gang do so much and you are rooting for them the entire way. Andarna gives us all the sass we have come to know and love and Tairn is just as loveable as he is grumpy. The love story is still the underlying romance of the book, but the action is chef’s kiss. There are so many changes, revelations, and heart-wrenching moments that I could barely put the book down. I only did so because I had to adult. This is a 10 star read and I need to breathe before I reread because we all know the story is littered with clues and hints of what is to come. Yes I said 10 stars, you can go argue with the wall not with me. Damnit Rebecca…. Enjoy your much deserved break. But we are waiting… with the patience of Andarna.

I *think* it’s a 4, but I may need to reread it to fully process/understand. I did the audio and listened on a day everyone was home, so quite a few interruptions. I definitely enjoyed though!
