This book had a lot of hype around it. This was probably one of the best books Jeneva has put out in awhile. I actually really liked the ending.
In Home Is Where the Bodies Are by Jeneva Rose, three estranged siblings reunite at their childhood home after their mother's death, only to uncover a disturbing secret that had been buried. As they dig deeper, long-hidden truths about their family begin to surface, forcing them to confront their own pasts and fractured relationships. The discovery of a body turns their grief into a chilling mystery. What begins as a somber homecoming quickly spirals into a suspenseful unraveling of lies, secrets, and betrayal.
This book had been on my TBR for a while despite how badly wanted to read it-and I'm so glad I finally did, because Home Is Where the Bodies Are did not disappoint! Jeneva Rose delivered a gripping. emotionally layered thriller that pulls you in from the first page.
The story starts off sad and reflective as three siblings reunite after their mother's death, but it quickly spirals into a tense and chilling mystery that proves you never truly know someone-not even your own parents. The unraveling of long-buried family secrets kept me flipping pages, and the emotional weight behind those revelations added depth to the suspense.
If you enjoy domestic thrillers with a strong emotional core, messy family dynamics, and shocking twists, this one's for you. Fans of Lisa Jewell or Shari Lapena will probably eat this up.
"Home Is Where the Bodies Are" is a gripping family thriller that explores dark secrets and the complexities of sibling relationships following their mother's death.
