Good Omens

The world will end on Saturday. Next Saturday. Just before dinner, according to The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch, the world’s only completely accurate book of prophecies, written in 1655. The armies of Good and Evil are amassing and everything appears to be going according to Divine Plan. Except that a somewhat fussy angel and a fast-living demon are not actually looking forward to the coming Rapture.

Oh, and someone seems to have misplaced the Antichrist.

Put New York Times bestselling authors Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman together . . . and all Hell breaks loose. In a very good way.

I was cautious of this book just because of the religious-esc element of this book. Now, I am just not into the narrative because of it's density. It's been on my TBR for so long so maybe I will come back to it

One of my favorite books to reread. I'm in love with this satirical humor.

I felt, like many others, bored by the parts about the literal antichrist and his friends and very enthralled by the horsemen, Crowley and Aziraphale. By the second half of the book, I just felt like I was ready for it to be over with, which felt really unfortunate.

Loved the books, adored the series (not a fan of Neil Gaiman), but Terry Prachett wrote 90% of this book supposedly so it can stay a favorite!

This was a witty and lively read, and I loved the characterisation of the demons. For me, the only downfall was the ending, as it didn't seem in keeping with the rest of the novel. However, that aside, a wholly enjoyable book.
