East Valley Multimedia - Tempe Mesa Gilbert Phoenix

This club started as a continuation of the Next Chapter bookclub, which we were fortunate to be a part of.  We just couldn’t let it go so here we are.  It is also a new bookclub where we hope to try out some other ideas we have.

Some of my best internal discussions as well as with my family are about things that began as books (or based on history occasionally).  Based on that interest, I hope to include some book adjacent meetings.  I want this to be casual and fun, hoping that there will be a reasonable number of people at each meeting.  No strings.  Come to one or all as you like.  

My goal is to arrange 1 meeting a month at a minimum.  We will meet in S Mesa, or Tempe near ASU most of the time.  We’ll start at Panera in Tempe Marketplace like Next Chapter did. I’m hoping for diverse voices in all senses.  That’s how I get the most fun out of it.  I’m gonna call out men, speicifically - My husband and son have not seen many bookclubs that welcome them.  We do!

Audiobooks are a must for me, so we wil focus primarily on those options.  Physical books are a challenge for me because of severe arthritis in my neck, and a lack of self control when it comes to books.  Pacing myself is not a realistic option it seems.  So I listen.

I have not invested in an upgraded bookclub membership, but may do so in the future.  There are added features for both individuals and clubs with upgraded accounts.  Please be patient with me.  I may upgrade it in time, depending on involvement.  In the meantime I will do my best to have information available as much as possible.
