Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch (Cover may vary)

By Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett

The world will end on Saturday. Next Saturday. Just before dinner, according to The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch, the world’s only completely accurate book of prophecies, written in 1655. The armies of Good and Evil are amassing and everything appears to be going according to Divine Plan. Except that a somewhat fussy angel and a fast-living demon are not actually looking forward to the coming Rapture.

Oh, and someone seems to have misplaced the Antichrist.

Put New York Times bestselling authors Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman together . . . and all Hell breaks loose. In a very good way.

I first read this book a number of years ago and it was amazing.
Last summer I watched the Amazon Prime mini-series twice and said that I needed to read the book yet.

Now 9 months later I reread the book. Most of the movie was still in my head so of course all I could see was David Tennant and Michael Sheen.

I really like how Neil Gaiman's TV series did not take away from the book but added to it with the odd additional scenes but the book is still amazing.

Hlariously witty and absurd, I adore it. One of my favorite books! The only reason why I rate it an 8 is because if shifts between POVs and some of the perspectives were less interesting lol. I just wanted to read about Azi, Crowly, and the kids. Everytime it went to Newton or Agatha (although crucial to the story), I was just looking forward to the next scene lol. Highly recommend if you want a goofy, supernatural, "apocalypse" story set in the 80s/90s. (Of course) I think the book is better than the show.

Skemmtileg bók og fyndin en soldið mikið af efni og nöfnum og þ.a.l. stundum erfitt að skilja

I was cautious of this book just because of the religious-esc element of this book. Now, I am just not into the narrative because of it's density. It's been on my TBR for so long so maybe I will come back to it

One of my favorite books to reread. I'm in love with this satirical humor.
