This was sweet but ultimately not my cup of tea.

And Now, Back To You delivers a workplace romance built on rivalry, radio banter, and a snowstorm that forces two meteorologists into the same orbit. The setup promises tension, rivalry, and sparks. What unfolds feels softer, sweeter, and more drawn out than expected. Jackson thrives behind the mic with structure and predictability. Delilah chases storms and stories in the field because she is driven by ambition and a need to prove herself. A forced partnership during a major weather event keeps them in constant proximity. Their on-air chemistry turns into something listeners cannot get enough of and ends up going viral. Their reluctant teamwork begins to blur into something more than friendship midway through the book. The central relationship takes its time getting anywhere. The tension stretches across long spans of will-they-won’t-they energy that starts to feel repetitive. Both characters clearly want each other making the hesitation harder to believe after a while. It takes over ten hours for them to move into physical intimacy after a handful of kisses and late-night cuddling. The audiobook adds a playful layer that stands out. The weather sound effects bring the reporting segments to life and give the story a charm that feels unique. The broadcast elements create a strong sense of immersion and keep the listening experience engaging. Their partnership on-air becomes the highlight. The reporting segments feel lively and fun. It makes sense why their dynamic would go viral. The narration does its job without elevating the material. The performances feel consistent but not distinct. The shift in tone based on point of view rather than character pulled my attention at times. The added production elements end up being more memorable than the vocal performances. This is a cozy and low-stakes romance. Readers who enjoy slow-burn tension, opposites in a professional setting, and a soft landing will find something to like here. The writing felt average for me. I would not rush to pick up another romance from this author unless it comes up as a book club selection.
