All Your Perfects: A Novel (Hopeless)

INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

The #1 New York Times bestselling author of Regretting You, It Starts with Us, and It Ends with Us—whose writing is “emotionally wrenching and utterly original” (Sara Shepard, New York Times bestselling author of the Pretty Little Liars series)—delivers a tour de force novel about a troubled marriage and the one old forgotten promise that might be able to save it.

Quinn and Graham’s perfect love is threatened by their imperfect marriage. The memories, mistakes, and secrets that they have built up over the years are now tearing them apart. The one thing that could save them might also be the very thing that pushes their marriage beyond the point of repair.

All Your Perfects is a profound novel about a damaged couple whose potential future hinges on promises made in the past. This is a heartbreaking page-turner that asks: Can a resounding love with a perfect beginning survive a lifetime between two imperfect people?

I’ve recently discovered Colleen Hoover (as in, I’ve read five of her books within a week) and this book is different that the others I’ve read. The “Then” and “Now” chapters are almost like two completely different books. It was odd, but it ended up making for an interesting story line.

I am a young(ish) newlywed, so the thought of infertility is something that weighs heavy on my mind. What if we wait to have kids just to find out I’m infertile? So reading this book definitely put some things into perspective. It also emphasized the underlying common marital issue of COMMUNICATING. I tend to tell my husband everything, to be honest I probably tell him too much. So the idea of not letting my significant other know my feelings on being infertile is crazy to me.

I did enjoy the story and half way through, I ended up getting so mad at a certain character, that I actually had to take a break from the book. Thank god for a hot shower and a glass of wine.

Also, I need to state that Graham is probably my favorite CoHo love interest to date. 😍

Say what you want about COHO books but she knows how to make a gal SOB!! I blame it on my hormones obviously but I was crying like a baby at the end of this book! Watch out for sensitive topics and buy a box of Kleenex in preparation

This is a good beach read, a marriage filled with flaws and just the right amount of passion/sex. Quinn never thought she'd meet the love of her life just outside her fiancé's door. Told in alternating chapters of then and now, this is a love story that is threatened by their imperfect marriage. It is definitely a story filled with emotion. Both Graham and Quinn make mistakes along the way but I really wanted to smack Quinn. Without giving anything away, I felt like she caused the breakdown in the marriage because she stopped communicating. Will their dreams for the future bring them together or tear them apart?
