Finding an amazing book is just the first step for a rewarding book club discussion. The conversation can only reach its full potential with thoughtful, insightful questions that make members view points they never considered.
But we all know first-hand the struggle of trying to come up with great book club questions. You want to pull out themes to analyze together. Encourage differing opinions. Understand why some characters infuriate you. And simply have fun sharing impressions. Easier said than done!
What if you had an entire bank of engaging discussion questions already tailored to popular book club picks? Ones exploring exactly what you want to unpack about the story, characters, and deeper meaning? Well, now you do!
Here at Bookclubs.com, we've compiled hundreds of book club question sets for the most popular and talked-about books right now. We’ve got you covered with discussion guides to take that conversation to the next level.
How to Find Book Club Questions for Your Book
If your club uses Bookclubs to organize, there's no need to search for discussion guides! If we have a guide for the book you're reading available, you'll find it attached to your meeting in the Bookclubs app. Just look for the pink-highlighted "Discussion Guide" icon underneath the book title and author on your meeting page. We'll also include a link to the discussion guide in the reminder emails we send out before each meeting.
If you're checking to see if a book has a guide before scheduling your meeting, there are two ways to find book club questions on Bookclubs.com. You can search for the book at bookclubs.com/books. If we have a set of discussion questions for the book, you'll see a button that says "View Discussion Guide." Click on the button to be taken to the discussion guide for that book.
If we don't have pre-written discussion questions for the book, you can request them by clicking on "Request Discussion Guide" and entering your email address. We'll notify you by email if a guide is added! While we're not able to add discussion guides for every book we get a request for, we use the requests to prioritize which books to create guides for.
You can also search for reading guides by visiting bookclubs.com/discussion-guides. There you can browse the latest reading group guides that have been added to our site, and you can search directly for guides.
