What is Silent Book Club?

There are no assigned books. Bring whatever you are currently reading to enjoy! eBooks and audiobooks are welcome!

Each gathering consists of an hour of quiet reading surrounded by other quiet readers, followed by an optional social hour to discuss books, life, or anything else you want.

Last Friday of every month:

10:00-10:30 am - People arrive, order drinks/food, or set up your reading spot. Share what they're reading if you want.

10:30-11:30 am - Quiet reading hour (if at the busy bakery, bring noise-canceling headphones)

11:30-12:00 pm - Optional socializing, or keep reading, restock on drinks & food.

The meeting location will be in Carlsbad (the location noted in the calendar) on the last Friday of every month:

There are no membership fees or costs to join, but we do ask that you purchase from the venue as we will be taking up space—we want to support our local businesses!

Go with the flow. Your hosts are volunteers, and the venue is a busy location.
