Silent Book Club At UU Shelter Rock

Shelter Rock Silent Book Club is part of the global Silent Book Club community, dedicated to creating a welcoming space for readers of all kinds. Hosted by members of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Shelter Rock, our gatherings are open to everyone—no membership or assigned reading required. We believe in the joy of reading at your own pace, connecting with fellow book lovers, and building community through shared quiet moments. Whether you’re into novels, nonfiction, poetry, or comics, you’ll find a seat here.

Each event includes:

 • 30 minutes – Arrive, mingle, and share what you’re reading (optional)

 • 1 hour – Quiet reading together

 • 30 minutes – Optional discussion and connection

Our evening and weekend meetups are designed to be relaxed and flexible—come as you are and enjoy the magic of reading in community.
