We read cultural classics and contemporary literature with a focus on books that tell the story of the African, African American, and Indigenous (Native) experience. Nothing is off-limits.

By fostering a supportive and inclusive environment, it encourages people from all backgrounds to come together and engage with books in meaningful ways.The book club recognizes the potential for books to spark personal growth, both spiritually and mentally. It provides a safe space for members to explore different perspectives, ideas, and emotions through the medium of literature.

This club is for the people who are living in this world as someone else, yet deep inside they are poets. Poets stuck in busy lives, who write in between classes, train rides, and crowded places and capture something only found in their poems.
