About Mental Health Poetry Help

To be in this club, you just have to be willing to respect the general flow of the group so far as your ability. There are no requirements regarding identity or ability. All are welcome, with queer and disabled BIPOC to the front.

We don't have a meeting set up yet, but I'm hoping to meet the first weekend monthly at El Barrista at 2154 3rd Avenue in Manhattan, NY to discuss selections from some medium. We will meet Saturday evenings.

We're reading books by BIPOC with varying educational background, from economics to love and desire to art theory.

Useful tool making for world building will be explored. A basic gesture for each group will be to make some type of cosmogram or "growth moment capture map" identifying aspects of now and future that can be connected with geometry and then interpreted using shadows, distance, color, shape, size, direction, etc.

Depending on audience, interest, and ability, I may offer digital tools for maps, from my portfolio or otherwise.

I hope to create a culture of "navigation" towards a world with less harm, where people have the creativity and safety to build tools and respond to injustice.
