About Tiny Book Club
Welcome to the Tiny Book Club.
It's named Tiny because in between the meetings, recommended reading is just 14 pages (effectively 1 page a day).
We select non-fiction books based on following criteria -
It's highly practical
It's easy to implement
It's research backed
We meet alternate Sundays online on video call for 25-35 minutes at 7:25pm (IST GMT+5:30) . We use Zoom for the video call meeting. It's a free app that you can download for your mobile or laptop from https://zoom.com.
There are usually 3-4 people in the meeting. It's a diverse group with people from 4 different countries.
Format of Discussion in the Meetings
We discuss following questions-
What were our key takeaways and WHY?
How are we going to implement these ideas?
Have we read/experienced anything related to what we read for this meeting?
Rationale Behind The Club
Reading a book slowly, analyzing it carefully, planning for implementation and integrating with our prior knowledge base, is a recipe for transformation.
Moreover discussing with others gives us a variety of points of views, ideas to implement and most importantly a sense of belonging to a community motivated to transform their lives.
It's really satisfying to see fellow participants taking tiny steps alongside you. This acts as an catalyst for our growth process as well.
The format of the book club and the questions are designed based on the ideas in James Clear's "Atomic Habits", Dr. BJ Fogg's "Tiny Habits " and Mortimer Adler's "How to read a book".
Current Book
We are reading Tiny Habits by Dr BJ Fogg. In my (humble) opinion it's way better, when it comes to the explanation and strategies for implementation than James Clear's book Atomic Habits.
Next Book
From Sunday, 16th August 2026 we'll be starting with Getting Things Done by David Allen (2015 edition). Feel free to grab a copy and get ready for the next adventure.
