Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity

In today's world, yesterday's methods just don't work. In Getting Things Done, veteran coach and management consultant David Allen shares the breakthrough methods for stress-free performance that he has introduced to tens of thousands of people across the country. Allen's premise is simple: our productivity is directly proportional to our ability to relax. Only when our minds are clear and our thoughts are organized can we achieve effective productivity and unleash our creative potential.

I read this as part of the GW alumni book club. It’s good advice, basically: write down everything you have to do and how you are going to do it. My inbox is at zero this morning and I have multiple project lists now. Let’s see how I feel about it in 6 months as Allen recommends.

Great read on taking control of a messy mind like mine. I've already been inspired to take charge of personal and professional topics. Implementing GTD won't be easy, but I feel empowered with the right tools to capture any thought and process it appropriately in any of my in-trays. :)

Definitely saw some parallels with Covey's 7 Habits so I'm happy to connect some learnings from both books. I've also started skimming the GTD subreddit and enjoy reading about other people and their journeys towards stress-free productivity!
