The Meet Cute Book Club

We’re an online book club designed for single people aged 21 and over who love books, meaningful conversations, and meeting like-minded readers.

The idea is simple: dating apps can feel exhausting, but discussing a book with people who share your interests? That’s much more fun. The Meet Cute Book Club is a space where connections happen naturally through a shared love of reading. Whether you’re looking for friendship, community, intellectual conversations, or perhaps your own meet cute, you’re welcome here.

Our focus is always on the books. We meet online to discuss our monthly pick, share different perspectives, discover new authors, and enjoy being part of a community of readers. If genuine connections develop along the way, that’s just part of the magic.

While relationships, love, and human connection may occasionally feature in our book choices, we read a wide range of genres and styles. From contemporary fiction and modern classics to literary fiction, memoirs, thought-provoking non-fiction, and the occasional cult favourite, we’re open to exploring eclectic reads and discovering books we might never have picked up on our own. Members are always encouraged to suggest future book selections.

Everyone is welcome regardless of gender, sexuality, background, or relationship history. The only requirements are that you’re single, 21+, and kind.

* Be respectful. Different opinions about books are encouraged. Personal attacks are not.

* Kindness comes first. Treat other members with consideration and empathy.

* No pressure. This is a book club, not a dating service. Connections should happen naturally, and everyone’s boundaries should be respected.

* Respect privacy. What’s shared within the community stays within the community.

* Keep discussions inclusive. Discrimination, harassment, or inappropriate behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated.

* No unsolicited flirting or messaging. Always be mindful of consent and comfort levels.

* Read the book… or at least try! Life happens, and you’re still welcome to join discussions even if you haven’t finished.

* Have fun. The goal is to enjoy great books and good company.
