Goth Night at High Dive Book Club

Welcome to Goth Night at High Dive’s book club! 🦇🩸

If you are seeking a casual meet up to enjoy a drink and discuss books filled to the brim with spooky scenery, complicated/taboo relationships, and horrifying supernaturals, this is the club for you. 

The club meets on the last Wednesday of every month at The High Dive in Hamtramck, Michigan. While we discuss, the bar offers a medley of seasonal cocktails/mocktails, wine, beer, and N/A alternatives that you can enjoy at your leisure. At the conclusion of every meeting we vote on the next book for the following month, as long as that book is within the gothic genre and is at least under 300 pages. 

At the start of the club back in April 2026, we started with classics such as The Picture of Dorian Gray and Frankenstein, and as the club continues we will read more modern texts such as Paradise Rot and Crash. 

This September 2026, we are reading We Have Always Lived in The Castle by Shirley Jackson, and we will meet Wednesday, September 30th, at 8:00PM.
