About Daughters at the Table
Daughters at the Table,
🌾 We are a Catholic women’s book club rooted in sisterhood, sacred conversation, and Christ’s presence among us. We gather at the table—a holy, welcoming place—to read and reflect on the lives of women saints, Scripture, and the teachings of the Church.
🪑 Our gatherings are intentionally small and gentle, creating space for prayer, listening, and meaningful reflection without pressure or performance. This is a place to break bread together and rediscover our identity as daughters of God—claiming our place at the table in His Kingdom.
☕ Sisters are invited to settle in with a favorite cozy drink and a light snack as we gather—simple comforts that help us slow down and be present. A few tissues are always welcome, as hearts are softened and moments of reflection often unfold in tender ways.
🕯️ We gather weekly for prayer and reflection, reading two chapters at a time to allow space for deeper conversation and integration. Sisters are encouraged to suggest thoughtfully chosen readings through group polls and to bring personal notes or annotations to support shared reflection and learning.
✨ All women are welcome, whether you are new to Catholic reading or returning after time away. Come as you are—this is sacred space, held with reverence, grace, and love.
🤍 As part of our sisterhood, we share a traveling rosary that is prayerfully passed by mail among members who wish to participate. Each sister is invited to hold the rosary in prayer, carrying the intentions of the group before Christ before prayerfully sending it onward. Participation is optional and rooted in reverence, consent, and trust.
✉️ Through prayer, reflection, and simple acts of connection—like gathering together and sharing through snail mail—we create a faith-safe space, move with intentionality, and remember that we are never walking alone.
With love and intention,
Daughters at the Table
P.S. Our patron saint is Mary—who gently guides us at the table and leads us to her Son. 🤍
