I first decided I wanted to create this club while sitting in a cramped cafe on the Upper West Side rereading some old philosophy books from grad school & sipping on my second cup of coffee. 

I realized that I wanted create a space for New Yorkers who love thought provoking literature-- from classical writers Leo Tolstoy to modernists like Toni Morrison.
