History Book Club (Arlington & DC)

We read a variety of nonfiction history books covering topics across world and US history. We meet roughly every 6 weeks, and generally plan 2 books in advance so people have plenty of time to read each book (history books can be long and dense!)

We meet in person in either Arlington or DC (our usual spot is For Five Coffee in Rosslyn). Partial completion of books is totally fine, it's history so we don't have to worry about spoilers! New members are always welcome, we hope you'll join for the next meeting :)

Attendance policies: in order to help with planning and maintain a baseline commitment level from members, we have these basic attendance policies:

RSVPs:

1. RSVP if you plan to attend so we can reserve an appropriate amount of space
2. If you need to update your RSVP within a day or two of the meeting, that's okay, but please message me to let me know
3. If you no-show multiple times when RSVP-ed Yes (without giving me a heads up), you'll be removed from the group

Minimum attendance: Members are expected to attend at least 1 in 5 meetings. If you don't attend 5 straight meetings, you may be removed from the group. (I'll send you an email and ask if you want to stay in the group before I remove you!)
