84 Charing Cross Road Classics Book Club

Our next meeting is Tuesday, June 7, 2026, and we will discuss The Legend of sleepy Hollow and Rip Van Winkle by Washington Irving.

We are all about the classics. Members submit book suggestions and then we vote on what we would like to read next. We meet the second or third Tuesday of each month. 

If you love to read and talk with others about what you read then this is the group for you.  We want to make this as easy as we can for everyone.  No fees or expectations other than enjoying reading and having fun.

The name, 84 Charing Cross Road, comes from the movie of the same name.  It stars Anthony Hopkins and Anne Bancroft.  It is about a New York bibliophile and the friendship that develops between her and the staff at a London antiquarian bookstore.  I highly recommend it.
