Wolf Gone Wild (1)

What's the worst thing that can happen to a werewolf? Unable to shift for three months, Mateo Cruz knows all too well. His wolf has taken up residence in his head, taunting him night and day with vividly violent and carnal thoughts. Convinced he's cursed, he needs the help of a powerful witch before he literally goes insane.

Evie Savoie has always obeyed the house rules of her coven--no werewolves. They're known for being moody and volatile. So, when a distempered, dangerous werewolf strolls into the bar and almost strangles one of her late-night customers, she's ready to bounce him through the door. But the desperation in his eyes when he begs her to help him softens her heart and convinces her to bend the rules.

What Evie doesn't know is that Mateo's wolf has a mind of his own. And now that she's in his sights, he wants only one thing. Her.

This was a re-read for my book club and it was even better the second time. I love that Mateo's Wolf (internal) got to have his own voice and boy what a perverted naught boy he is...loved him. Evie and Mateo's relationship was intense from the start and only got steamier through out the book. The first date, was very impressive for a first date.....loved it and the Star Wars aspect. AND the first sex scene, when it was all about her and no sex, my lady bits got tingly, that is for sure. The Savoir Sisters, love Violet, my kinda spookiness and spice, loved her but I really love the bantering, someone that doesn't have a big family....made me a little jealous.

This book would get a 5+ Stars for me and will be re-reading the rest of this series shortly.

Mateo Cruz is a werewolf who has been unable to shift for 3 months. Which has had untold consequences to his sanity. Without being able to shift to his wolf form, his wolf has taken up residence in his head. LOUDLY. He never shuts up and wants to either beat everyone up over small stuff or have sex with every woman he passes. Convinced he’s cursed, he seeks out a powerful witch to break his hex before he goes insane.

Evie Savoie has always obeyed the house rules of her coven — no werewolves. They're known for being moody and volatile. So, when a distempered, dangerous werewolf strolls into the bar and almost strangles one of her late-night customers, she's ready to bounce him through the door. But the desperation in his eyes when he begs her to help him softens her heart and convinces her to bend the rules.

This is the first book in the Stay a Spell series, so if you like it you’re in luck! I definitely laughed quite a bit and enjoyed the steamier scenes. While the plot might have been a bit predictable, I just let myself enjoy the flow of the story. I’ve already read book 2 in this series, “Don’t Hex and Drive” and it was just as enjoyable as the first book. I can’t wait to read about the rest of the Savoie sisters and how they find love!
