Always Practice Safe Hex: An Enemies to Lovers Witch Romance (Stay a Spell Book 4)

Sparks fly between a charming witch and a stoic grim reaper in the steamy, suspenseful fourth installment of Juliette Cross's Stay a Spell series.

Everybody likes Livvy Savoie. Not only does she have the magical gift of persuasion, perfect for working in PR, but her natural charisma also charms everyone she meets . . . except Gareth Blackwater, the annoyingly brilliant work nemesis who seems to despise her. The feeling is mutual.

A grim reaper, Gareth is rarely, if ever, moved beyond his broody, stoic state. But when he's partnered up with Livvy in a company competition for charity, his peace of mind is destroyed. He's convinced the flesh-melting attraction he feels must be her witchy magic at work.

Now forced to collaborate, their constant bickering turns into sparks flying, and Livvy learns that this enigmatic grim is more powerful than any supernatural she's met. And when Livvy becomes the obsessive target of a dangerous warlock, the full force of Gareth's abilities becomes shockingly apparent. Because no one is going to hurt his Livvy . . .

The fourth book in the Stay a Spell series by Juliette Cross, Always Practice Safe Hex is a steamy, enemies to lovers romance with plenty of sassy witches, sexy grims, and a sizzling enemies to lovers romance. This irresistible paranormal romance series following intertwining lives of a dynamic New Orleans coven is perfect for fans of Jessica Clare books, The Ex Hex, and other witch romance books.

Another fantastic book by Juliette Cross, this is such a well written series. We finally get to see what the Grims are all about and wow, they are spectacular. The storyline and build up to Gareth and what his Grim powers where and where he came from I thought were fantastic. The chemistry between him and Livvy, once again lots of flirtation, steamy sex, compassion and deep love for one another left you wanting and needy for what they have. The bondage scene, even though Im not into that type of thing, it was well written and the imagination with Gareth and his monster was outstanding. I truly enjoyed the shaving scene, the concept of the contest and the fund raisers....Wolf's gone wild was so fun and so sexy, you just got to love ALFA. We also finally get to see into the court system, and boy, Henry and his magic, holy cow, Clara & Henry's story should be really amazing. This had depth, made me laugh, cry and wet my panties on many occations. Once again, an amazing book, looking forward to the next in the series, Jules and Ruben....cant wait!

Oh my gosh, guys!! I always love visiting the Savoie sisters and this was such a great installation in the series!

Livvy and Gareth have been at odds since the beginning of a public relations contest. As a people person, there hasn’t been someone that didn’t immediately like Livvy. Until Gareth, the ice man. He’s sure that she’s using her literal powers of persuasion to get ahead in the competition and forcing his attraction to her. Both of them are competitive and feel strongly about their causes and confident in their skills to win. As they are forced to work together on a project Livvy realizes that she doesn’t hate Gareth - she really, really wants to have sex with him. Gareth is certain that he can work Livvy out of his system - lol nope, no chance of that. As we delve more into Gareth and his story we also learn more about Grims, a secretive supernatural species that hordes knowledge and keeps secrets.

Livvy and Gareth’s chemistry and connection is off the charts! I like that the couple got together relatively early in the book and we got to see their connection deepen and grow. Gareth shares more of himself as he learns what it means to be loved unconditionally. I also really enjoyed seeing more of Ruben and hints at what could happen between him and Jules. I’m sure that their story will be the last one in the series (darn you, Juliette!!). I’m also excited for Clara and Henry as it seems like their story is next.

As I said before, I loved this installation in the series and can’t wait to see what else Juliette has in store for the Savoie sisters!!

Tropes: enemies-to-lovers, workplace, forced proximity, fated mates, banter, kink, alpha hero
TW: abuse while in foster care, sexual harassment and assault

Witch Livvy Savoie finally found the one person she doesn't like, Grim Reaper Gareth Blackwater, but unfortunately they are forced to work together for the final round of their competition.

As they grow closer due to undeniable attraction and learning more about each other, Livvy becomes the target of a dangerous warlock and Gareth will do everything in his power to keep het safe.

~

My favourite of the series, although I really do keep saying that about every book in this series.

I am absolutely blown away that the author manages to build this world a little bit further in each book as well as getting to know the characters so well
