The both go to London (where Ruben is from) to convince the Guild Coven that Werewolves should be included, only to find out that Werewolves are far and few in the land. Being so close and trying to get the votes, Ruben and Jules get close to the point neither can take the sexual tension any more and to for it. These two have spent a life time apart, so when they come together its fireworks right off the get.
This story has amazing sex & passionate scenes, interesting plot, adventure, romance and drama. This story grips you right away and keeps you gripped throughout the book. Cant wait to read the last book in the series and then reread the hole series again and again....its that good!
I knew that all of Jules and Ruben’s angst and heartbreak that we saw in previous books would make their second chance that much more rewarding! Going into this book, the audience knew that Juliana and Ruben were together, only to have a very intense falling out and break up. We never knew why but you could see the longing, the intensity, the heartbreak. We get to see the why in this book and we see that Jules and Ruben are not the same people they were twelve years ago, during the first iteration of their relationship.
Ruben has decided that enough is enough - he is getting his mate back. And Jules discovers that she’s more than willing to step back into their relationship. She’s stronger, wiser, and doesn’t have the same fears about their relationship anymore. Ruben has put aside his need for control and taking charge, giving Jules space to come into her role as the leader of the supernatural community in New Orleans.
Wow this book! The chemistry, intimacy, and fast-paced action that Juliette always brings just really kept me reading and dying to know what would happen next. Not all second chance romance storylines make me feel satisfied. It’s almost like you’ve been waiting just as long as these characters have for their happy ending and it can feel rushed or unsatisfying. That’s not the case here. Their happy ending is well earned and well deserved.
These books make me so happy and I literally can’t wait for Clara and Henry’s story. I know that it will be just as rewarding as all of the other Savoie sister’s stories. However, I know I’ll be so sad when it ends.
