Wildfire: A Novel (The Maple Hills Series)

INSTANT #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER!
From Hannah Grace, author of the #1 New York Times bestselling Icebreaker, sparks fly when a one-night stand becomes a summer of forced proximity as camp counselors.
When Maple Hills students Russ Callaghan and Aurora Roberts cross paths at a party celebrating the end of the academic year, a drinking game results in them having a passionate one-night stand. Never one to overstay her welcome (or expect much from a man), Aurora slips away before Russ even has the chance to ask for her full name.
So both are surprised when they bump into each other on their first day as camp counselors, a place they both hoped would allow them to escape their complicated home lives for the summer. Russ hopes if he gets far enough away from Maple Hills, he can avoid dealing with the repercussions of his father’s gambling addiction, while Aurora is tired of craving attention from everyone around her and wants to go back to the last place she truly felt at home.
Russ knows breaking the camp’s strict no staff romance rule will have him shipped back home in no time. But unfortunately for him, Aurora has never cared about the rules. Can the two resist their smoldering chemistry? Or did their one night together start a fire they can’t put out?

Love this series! So sweet and adorable.
Wildfire by Hannah Grace is an enjoyable romance with fun banter and some heartfelt moments, but it didn’t completely win me over. The chemistry between the main characters is engaging, and I appreciated the summer camp setting—it added a fresh, nostalgic vibe to the story.
That said, the pacing felt uneven at times, with certain sections dragging while others moved too quickly. The conflict also seemed a bit predictable, making it harder to feel fully invested in the stakes of the relationship. While the writing is solid and the characters are likable, I was hoping for a bit more depth and originality in the plot.
Overall, Wildfire is a light and entertaining read, especially for fans of summer romance stories, but it didn’t leave a lasting impression.

This one definitely had smut but it didn't feel as crazy as Icebreaker. And just like the first book, this one stole my heart at the end!

Cute! The MC was not confident (which is my normal bread and butter) but I loved it anyway! He was still a great character
