While I understand a mothers fierce need to protect their child. How does anyone feel so self assured in the series of decisions Maggie makes. The dual POV and the jumping back and forth timelines made the book a page turner!
Here’s a review that reflects your opinion:
*What Lies Between Us* by John Marrs was an okay read, but it didn’t quite live up to my expectations. While the premise was intriguing and there were some suspenseful moments, the story felt padded with unnecessary fillers, which slowed down the pacing. I was hoping for a big, shocking twist or a meaningful conclusion, but the ending felt soft and predictable. The tension built throughout the book, but the resolution lacked the impact I was looking for. If you enjoy psychological thrillers, it’s still worth a read, but the ending might leave you wanting more.
Maggie lives with her daughter, Nina in an old house. But, Maggie is chained up by Nina; which sounds ridiculous but the series of events which occurred 25 years ago will justify things or maybe it won't! Read this page turner to find out what happens to this mom-daughter duo!
Dual PoV, dual timeline!
