WOW!!!! What a great read! psycho thriller indeed. Kept me engaged and I did not want to book the book down. I was hoping for a different ending. I don't want to say too much to give it away but great! And the narrators' voice was perfect! The Characters were splendid. I must read author for sure. Looking forward to other writings of his....

One of my new favorite! The onlyyyyyy complaint. Books need to do a better job of trigger warnings: miscarriage, forced abortion, infertility. Reading What Lies Between Us felt like strapping into the best kind of roller coaster. The kind that keeps your heart pounding, your mind spinning, and leaves you breathless by the final page. From the very start, I thought I knew exactly what was happening. John Marrs has a way of making you feel confident in your assumptions, only to pull the rug out from under you again and again. Each twist caught me off guard in the best possible way, and I loved that constant state of surprise. The pacing, tone, and writing style were flawless. Every chapter pulled me deeper, balancing tension and empathy so well that I found myself rooting for every character at one point or another. Marrs gives you just enough of each perspective to make you understand (and even feel sorry for) everyone involved, which makes the ending all the more satisfying. By the time I finished, I didn’t just admire the story, I felt it. What Lies Between Us is the kind of book that plays with your expectations, challenges your sense of right and wrong, and reminds you just how thin the line between love and control can be. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A wild, emotionally charged, brilliantly written thriller and one I’ll be recommending to everyone.
