Twisted Lies (Twisted, 4)

A fake-dating billionaire romance from New York Times bestselling author and BookTok sensation Ana Huang.

Charming, deadly, and smart enough to hide it, Christian Harper is a monster dressed in the perfectly tailored suits of a gentleman.

He has little use for morals and even less use for love, but he can't deny the strange pull he feels toward the woman living just one floor below him.

She's the object of his darkest desires, the only puzzle he can't solve. And when the opportunity to get closer to her arises, he breaks his own rules to offer her a deal she can't refuse.

Every monster has their weakness. She's his.

His obsession.

His addiction.

His only exception.

Sweet, shy, and introverted despite her social media fame, Stella Alonso is a romantic who keeps her heart in a cage.

Between her two jobs, she has little time or desire for a relationship.

But when a threat from her past drives her into the arms--and house--of the most dangerous man she's ever met, she's tempted to let herself feel something for the first time in a long time.

Because despite Christian's cold nature, he makes her feel everything when she's with him.

Passionate.

Protected.

Truly wanted.

Theirs is a love twisted with secrets and tainted by lies...and when the truths are finally revealed, they could shatter everything.

Took me a few days after I finished this to really let it sink in. Overall it was fine. Since this is the fourth book in her series I do have to compare it a little bit to the others. It got extremely crude. Not just adult fiction/erotic novel. Why do we have to call a woman’s lady bits a c*** when in sexy time? It’s just gross to me. I don’t know.

Christian is a HORRIBLE person. He just straight up murders someone for touching Stella? Like come on.

Stella is BORING. By the time we get to the end of the book we completely forget about all of her personality traits other than “loves fashion” and “thinks Christian is sexy with whiskey eyes.” barf.

Too many plot twists. Every trope thrown into this series overall. It was a decent listen but geez I wouldn’t probably read another series by this author.

I can't even lie.. i started this book at about 7 oclock at night, & stayed up till 10 oclock the next morning.. everytime i tried to stop reading, close my eyes, & go to sleep. i couldn't stop thinking about the book.. i was determined to finish that book before i went to sleep, & that is indeed what i did. i love how much the characters from the first 3 books appeared in the 4th one.. the epilogue & the bonus scene were everything, & they were just a great way to tie the series together. i'm truly upset that i've finished the series so soon, it was a high that i don't think i'll ever come down from.

This book features a stalker situation and a relationship between a landlord/friend of friend and the renter. Out of the entire series, this book was my least favorite but I still loved the entirety of it. This book was more predictable compared to the others in my opinion. It still features the dual pov and author recommended playlist.

Twisted Lies was the perfect way to wrap up the Twisted Series, and I’m still not over it! Christian and Stella’s story is everything I didn’t know I needed. Christian is this billionaire with a mysterious side, and Stella is a social media star trying to keep her life together. The fake dating trope in this book? Absolutely nailed it! The slow burn romance between them is full of tension, secrets, and so much longing.

Ana Huang really knows how to build chemistry, and the connection between Christian and Stella is pure magic. Christian is so protective and possessive, but in a way that makes you swoon, not cringe.

By the end of the book, I was completely in love with their story and not ready to say goodbye to these characters. Ana Huang has created such a rich world with this series, and Twisted Lies is the perfect cherry on top. If you’re into romance that’s smart, sexy, and full of heart, this book and this series should definitely be on your to be read list.

I very much enjoyed Stella & Christian’s story! I liked the mystery both of these characters bring and their connection is yet again a different one in this series. I love a fake dating trope so I was intrigued by where their relationship was going to end up. It’s a slower burn with seemingly less spice, especially compared to book 3. What I love most about standalone series like this one is that you get connections to the other books throughout so I loved getting a taste of the other three couples throughout this book. Overall, I liked this one but I do think I need to switch up my genres a little. I have gone heavy with romances lately because of a handful of reasons but as much as I love the cliches I think I need a little break for now.
