The gardens surrounding the large property are Mary's only escape. Then, Mary discovers a secret garden, surrounded by walls and locked with a missing key. With the help of two unexpected companions, Mary discovers a way in—and becomes determined to bring the garden back to life.

I love this book from the beginning to the end. I should have read it when I was younger but I am glad that I have read it now. The language was challenging at first but after a while you get use to it. I would love to have a secret garden of my own that has Magic.

This was one i always told myself I would read and just never did. It's been so long since I saw the movies I forgot a lot of the things in this one. It was an adorable little story. It started out about loss and with a spoiled child. It ended on a happy note with that same girl finding family, friends and her love of the secret garden.
