The Pucking Wrong Guy: The Pucking Wrong Series, Book 2

It's hard to resist the past in this steamy, dark hockey romance--an Amazon Top 10 Bestseller from USA Today-bestselling author C.R. Jane.
Blake moved to L.A. for a fresh start and to make it big. Now she's waiting tables while her dreams of becoming a model hover just out of reach. She already has her hands full . . . and then her past walks into the room and changes everything.
"What's your name, sunshine?"
At first Blake doesn't recognize him, but the gorgeous six-foot-four, tattooed pro-hockey player is Ari Lancaster--her first ever crush, the one who got her through the worst time in her life. He's all grown up now, with an unshakeable confidence and the ability to turn her inside out with a single kiss. And he has no intention of letting her go again.
Blake knows she should resist, but each time Ari's overwhelming intensity is focused on her, all her best intentions go out the window. There's no denying they're playing in different leagues, but it's only a matter of time before Blake starts to wonder if the completely wrong guy she's falling for . . . is actually the right one.
This edition features two brand-new character illustrations, a signed letter from the author, a curated playlist, and a recipe from the story.

This book is a great listen! The narrators are fantastic, especially Troy Duran. He really brings Ari's sunshine personality to life! Its duet narration, dual POVs, first person, 2 narrators, and I highly recommend it.
Ari is a ridiculous, OTT, obsessed, jealous, possessive, morally grey, golden retriever of a man. And it works! Imagine all these characteristics in one guy whose life's soundtrack is everything Taylor Swift!
Ari and Blake first meet in a foster care group home, and he never forgets her. He absolutely fell first (at 10) and is determined to, by whatever means necessary, make Blake fall in love with him.
Blake is an insecure model who has multiple mental health problems, probably induced from her parent's deaths, her time in the foster care system, and subsequently being adopted by horrible people.
Ari persues Blake, and she is resistant to following Blake's plan for them, and he colors outside the lines to manipulate Blake into a relationship.
In the end, Blake realizes that everything Ari has done has been out of love for her and how much she loves him back.
🌶🌶🌶3/5 on the spicy scale.
Book 2 wasn't as good as book 1, Ari was unhinged, but not nearly as psycho as Lincoln. I also have a problem with Blake's mental health issues essentially being healed with her realization that she loves Ari. She signed up for therapy and, bam, cured.

Can we agree that everyone wants to be loved? Now what about having someone love you SO much they would do ANYTHING for you?! Ari Lancaster knows how to love like that.
Some may think he’s a walking red flag, but I’m here to tell you everything he does he does in the name of love!
