The Lady Most Likely...: A Novel in Three Parts

From Julia Quinn, the author of Bridgerton—along with close friends and bestselling authors Eloisa James and Connie Brockway—comes an enchanting tale of a country house party in which three heroines find their happily ever after!

And You’re Invited!

Given a house party explicitly designed to end in weddings, which author do you think escorted which heroine to the party?

  • The always outspoken Miss Katherine Peyton
  • The impossibly beautiful (and painfully shy) Miss Gwendolyn Passmore
  • The widowed Lady Georgina Sorrell (who has no plans to marry, ever)

When it comes to gentlemen, did Connie invite the horse-mad but irresistibly handsome Earl of Briarly? Did Julia bring the dashing war hero Captain Neill Oakes to the party? Was Eloisa escorted by the terribly eligible new Earl of Charters?

You’ll love the puzzle and enjoy the escape when reading this delicious novel!

4.5/5
I like it a lot. I will, most likely, read it again.

I absolutely recommend this to all hopeless romantics like me, who don't mind short romance stories with quite a fair bit of explicit sexual scenes. I find this collaboration interesting, because, wow, three authors writing a book together? I've never come across any book like this. I had expected it to be choppy, but was delighted to find out that it wasn't. And although it revolves around one main story, as seen in the blurb, this book really has three stories, and the characters all meet each other.

My favourites have to be the first two stories, which, weirdly enough, they weren't the main. Other people might have different opinions. If I had to choose between the three though, I'd choose the second one, because Kate is a wonderfully different woman from the rest of the ton, headstrong, if a bit direct, but her story with Neill is so lovely. I really liked it that Neill, despite it being hard on him, was able to go through everything like a proper gentleman. However, Gwen would be my most favourite character out of all because I could relate to her the most.

The last story was okay, and just wasn't as appealing as the other two. It's why I gave this a 4.5 instead of a 5.
