The Hotel Nantucket

The Hotel Nantucket appears to be a blissful paradise but the staff, the guests, and even the ghost have complicated pasts. Can new general manager Lizbet Keaton overcome the odds with her local expertise and charismatic staff to win the favor of their new London billionaire owner, Xavier Darling, as well as that of Shelly Carpenter, the wildly popular Instagram tastemaker who can help put them back on the map?

The best part of this book for me was The Blue Book at the end which is basically the authorâs favorites on Nantucket- hotels, restaurants, beaches and shops. Iâd definitely reference this if I get a chance to visit Nantucket. The novel itself was just okay. Seemed more like a soap opera with a ghost thrown in and generally I disliked the characters who seemed extremely shallow.

I hate to give a Elin Hilderbrand less then 4 stars. I just couldn't get into this one and had a hard time picking it up. It wasn't horrible just a lot going tonight to keep up with. I probably won't admit in the right mindset.
DNF. I made it to page 24 and of the what feels like hundreds of characters already introduced, none of them seem interesting. I’m not interested in the ghost story. I’m not interested in finding out how the main character got this job she’s obviously not qualified for.
