I enjoyed Sunny’s point of view in this book, and my favorite parts were when Sunny finds her mother and when they end the war. A few parts were predictable for me, like how Sunny is half-tribe and that the Nightwings actually don’t have powers. The part that surprised me the most was when Peril saved Clay, and I overall liked this book.

Having learned more about the personalities and background of the other four Dragonets of Destiny in the first four books, my daughter and I were excited to dig deeper into the world of Sunny, the fifth and final Dragonet. We were not disappointed. Sutherland does a fantastic job of wrapping up this season, expanding widely our understanding of Sunny and all she is capable of. We are now speculating enthusiastically about how the plot will continue to develop and change in book six! We can't wait!
