This book wasn’t as entertaining and well written as the others, so it’s my least favorite so far. My favorite character from Starflight’s point of view was Fatespeaker, and my favorite part was when Glory leads her army to take back the prisoners right before the volcano erupts. The part that surprised me the most was that Queen Battlewinner got out of the lava, even when she probably knew she would die. Overall, I thought that Starflight’s point of view was a bit boring. I also think that the cover is kind of unrealistic since Starflight doesn’t seem like he would bee one to roar like in the cover.

Another really enjoyable read with my daughter. There were lots of surprises about the secretive Nightwings. Starflight learns a lot about himself in this book, and learns a lot about his tribe. He also finds unexpected friendship and courage during this adventure in Nightwing territory. We are excited to see how the season ends in the fifth book!
