it was okay…

I really wasn’t a fan of how angry, controlling, and forceful Nico was towards Kat. I didn’t feel much of a connection between them other than the love at first sight obsessiveness that Nico claimed to feel for her

As a reader, I have grown over the course of my time blogging. Before, it was easy to just read and get lost in a story; setting aside anything that could/would be considered unrealistic. Setting aside those pesky stereotypes and great dislike of certain tropes. I like what I like and I don't often stray from away from said likes and throw all caution to the wind and go with it. But every once in a while, it happens.

Which is exactly what I did with Sweet as Sin.

Is it flawless? No. Are there aspects of the story that would typically have me raging, or frustrated beyond belief? Yes. But you know what? It was fun. It was chock-full of drama, interesting and hilarious characters and a sexy, sweet as sin rock star. Geissinger has a way about her writing and that sucks you in. And I had not anticipated how dark and how twisted the story would go.

Although Kat and Nico had that insta-love thing going on, it worked. It was almost like these two had been together and we were getting a continuation of their story. (If that makes any sense.) Nico was a little more possessive than I like to see, but he had that whole alpha male thing going on. Kat, with her quick wit and no-nonsense attitude - doesn't really "put up with it," more like grabs the man by the balls and accepts Nico for who is he. She is far from flawless too - quick to judge and storm off without really listening and understand the situation.

Again. These two just work.

I am curious about the animosity between one of the band mates and Kat's friend, so I am wondering if their story is next?

All in all - I had so much fun with Sweet as Sin. It's hilarious, dark & twisty, sexy and just fun. It's addicting and I can't wait for the next book in the Bad Habit series.
