It’s November 1991. Nirvana's in the tape deck, George H. W. Bush is in the White House, and movie-obsessed college student Charlie Jordan is in a car with a man who might be a serial killer.

2.5/5 stars. I’m giving it an extra half a star, because it had an amount of suspense that I had been craving. But everything else was so insanely disappointing.

I have yet to be disappointed with one of Riley Sager's books! I loved the twists! This one gave me vibes from "No Exit" by Taylor Adams and "Run on Red" by Noelle W. Ihli, ONLY BETTER!

This book HAD potential. The beginning was very 80s/90s horror coded. It was creepy. Had some good story building. However, I got halfway through and I just felt like the story was dragging. THEN, in the last like 20 pages you get hit with the most unbelievably dumb plot twist. Completely ruined the book for me.

This is only the second Riley Sager book I have read, I absolutely loved Final Girls sadly Survive The Night didn’t hit the spot as much as I wanted it to.
It was very slow to get going and I didn’t really feel any connection to the main character. I felt that what was happening was a little farfetched. The last part of the book was better and did have me gasping at a few places and I did enjoy this part. Overall it was okay.
