I thought this was going to be a rom com but then bam outer banks vibes. Not really for me. The couple of smut scenes are the only thing keeping it from YA genre IMO. (audiobook)
Content warning for violence, death, sexism, kidnapping, and related topics. I thought this book was good fun, an easy read. I've read some of their other work, and I for sure preferred those romances. This felt forced and out of nowhere, not to mention hard to believe. Maybe I just don't like the second chance romance? But the treasure hunt element was interesting. And the twist surprised me!
Such a fun book! I love adventure romances, this was like a mix of City Slickers and Romancing the Stone. 🙃
