I think I had higher expectations for this book than I should have, just because everyone was praising it. I mean, don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed it and all, it just wasn't a book that made me keep going until I got to the end. I actually took a huge break in the middle because it was getting too intense for me haha.

The story was good. It was a bit confusing to get into the storyline at first and the ending didn’t really make me want to read the second book.
I LOVE this.
At first I was very hesitant to read this book / series, because a lot of modern fantasy books (advertised for young adult readers) tend to focus more on romantic aspects than the actual plot. Although there is nothing inherently wrong with that, it is just not my preferred genre.
But when I tell this book blew me away!! The plot, the absolutely lovable and diverse characters, everything was told in such a unique and fun way.
