Would be a 5 ⭐️ if I had been laughing as much as I did in book 2! I can’t with this series, it giving me whiplash and yet I keep asking for more

First of all—WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL DID I JUST READ??? That freaking ending??? All this effort to bring Clara back, and then she just goes full psycho, drinks her brother’s blood, STABS HIM, and runs the hell away??? Like, excuse me?? We JUST had Lance and Darius talking about the whole Elysian Mate thing, and they just admitted they love each other, and THIS is how it ends?? I am in shambles. Absolutely wrecked.

Also, frick Tory. I get why she doesn’t want to give in to Darius, but when the freaking Fates hand you a once-in-a-lifetime moment to see if you and your person are meant to be together forever, you take that chance!! You don’t sit there pretending you don’t have feelings when we all KNOW YOU DO. Ugh, she’s driving me insane.

On another note, I absolutely LOVE that Geraldine is still playing hard to get with Max and being the bad bitch that she is. The way she has him wrapped around her finger is chef’s kiss. He is so down bad, and she’s just out here making him work for it. We love to see it.

But okay, on a lighter note—Lance’s birthday party at the bar?? Absolute gold. Him getting drunk was hilarious, I needed that moment of comic relief in between all the soul-crushing devastation.

This series reminds me of how I felt watching Vampire Diaries for the first time.
It's little young, a little cringe, but also so good.
