ETA: So damn good. I’m rereading with the bestie and I forgot how much I enjoyed the series. Such a beautiful blend of suspense, fantasy, romantic twists, emotional ties and hatred. I never read books more than once, but even the second time through, I was captivated.
First review: The suspense and constant tension are addicting. The writing is still a bit rough with one scene feeling fairly “off” in comparison to the rest of the book, but the storyline has lured me in and I keep wondering what is going to happen next.

This series is absolutely insane, and I am shook beyond repair! I’m so relieved that my girls passed the Reckoning and finally unlocked their Orders—they’re freaking Phoenixes! Watching them step into their power was everything, and I love that they’re finally realizing just how strong they truly are. But of course, nothing can ever be easy at Zodiac Academy.
Can we talk about Darius’s father and Orion’s mother for a second? Because what the actual hell?! They are both beyond psychotic, and I feel so bad for Xavier—he does not deserve to be treated like that. And ughhh, the Heirs? Still absolute assholes…but maybe just slightly less? There were actual moments where I almost—almost—felt bad for them. But I’m still not fully there yet.
And then there’s Seth. That drunken confession to Darcy?? It almost had me feeling something, but let’s be real—I am 100% Team Darcy & Orion, and Seth never stood a chance. Sorry, not sorry.
But the real betrayal?? WTF, Diego?! I did not see that coming, and I am livid. What a pathetic excuse for a man. I trusted him, I liked him, and he went and pulled that?! He is dead to me. I will never forgive him. Ever.
That ending completely wrecked me, and I need the next book immediately.
