I am rating this three stars because of how many worthy quotes were found within this story, mentally, this is a 2-star read. This has nothing to do with the writing because I do enjoy Ms. Jimenez's work, the delivery for the plot was the issue, even more so the characters. 50% through I was a bit bored of the romance mainly because of how repetitive it got regarding their differences in age, occupation, social groups, and financial status. Nothing much was happening for them individually, and for the conflict in both their lives, just constant complaining about their monogamy and personal issues. The only time the storyline picked up was 70% through, which was a bit unfortunate. Things started to shift at 87%, meaning everything was resolved quickly. Throughout the story, we mainly got everything through Alexis' perspective, leaving a lot of unanswered questions about Daniel. The main reason for their separation could have been a discussion from the beginning, but what is a romance without a third-act conflict? The principle of everything didn't make much sense, but this book made me laugh, teary-eyed, and giggle, which I appreciated.

As someone who actively avoids contemporary romance, I did not expect to love this book as much as I did. I am completely obsessed! Part of Your World touched me in a way that I usually only reserve for historical fiction. The writing was clear, realistic, and (most importantly) there were zero gag-worthy moments. I was fully squealing and giggling at every turn (an unprecedented reaction from me in this genre).
The characters felt real, their struggles were deeply authentic, and the depictions of domestic abuse (in all its forms) were handled with nuance and care. And oh my god, I donât think Iâve ever been more infuriated with a fictional family than I was with the Montgomeries. The level of rage they induced? Unmatched. But I absolutely loved the MCs! Their journey, their love, their well-earned happily-ever-after... I was rooting for them every step of the way.
Iâm still in awe of how much I adored this book. Abby Jimenez completely blew my mind and mightâve single-handedly converted me (a contemporary romance skeptic). If you havenât read this yetâfix that immediately.

CONTENT WARNINGS!
-> Physical Abuse
-> Mental Abuse
Pretty good, very sweet, a lot more tame than the romance I usually read. I would say it's equally about recognizing and breaking the cycle of abuse as much as it's about their relationship.
I don’t typically read rom-coms but this one was cute. It was a fun and easy read (well, listen) and it was a nice “cleanse” from the drama-filled/thriller reads. Everybody gets what they want in the end and who doesn’t love a happy ending!
